Virtual Fundraising

Written by Nidhi Charagundla, District Project Chair

Fundraising is typically done in person as an interactive event that members are excited

to participate in. Due to COVID-19, many of these plans have been canceled, but do not worry because there are numerous virtual fundraising opportunities that you can partake in from the comfort of your own home. It may be difficult to stay in contact with your club through your school, but the Project Committee has provided you with many individual projects that you can do for a fun challenge and to raise money.

Many of our virtual fundraising opportunities are offered through our social media

platforms such as Instagram as well as newsletters sent out by Ltg’s every month. Some of the interactive graphics we have done include dare menu’s and Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes bingo’s. You can also raise money by applying for grants on behalf of your club or even hold your own virtual fundraisers. Some fun things you can do include: neighborhood jogs or hikes, live stream fundraiser, or even a neighborhood chalk walk.

I know this year has been difficult so far, but I know we will make it and still do what we

do best: help others. The District Projects Committee, as well as the rest of the board, are trying to find the best fundraising opportunities for y’all to participate in and still have fun doing it!

Head over to our Georgia District Resource Folder for even more ideas! Go to our website gakeyclub.org and click the resource dropdown.
