Mental Health Awareness Month is an annual observance that takes place every May to raise awareness about mental health and mental illness. The goal of Mental Health Awareness Month is to promote mental wellness, reduce the stigma surrounding mental illness, and encourage individuals to seek help when needed. Through various events and campaigns, Mental Health Awareness Month aims to increase public understanding of mental health issues and the importance of prioritizing mental health and well-being.

Key Club International, has partnered with Erika's Lighthouse, a non-profit organization focused on promoting mental health awareness and reducing the stigma surrounding depression, to help support mental health initiatives during Mental Health Awareness Month. Through this partnership, Key Club members participate in events and activities such as "Walk in My Shoes" to raise awareness about mental health and promote the importance of seeking help when needed.

In addition to participating in events, Key Club members also volunteer at Erika's Lighthouse events and help spread awareness about the organization's mission. This partnership allows Key Club members to actively engage with mental health initiatives and promote mental wellness in their communities. By partnering with Erika's Lighthouse, Key Club International is working towards creating a world where mental health is viewed as an integral part of overall health and where individuals can access the resources and support they need to thrive.
