A Key Club Memoir

Written By: Taylor Hancock

If I could describe Key Club using only six words, I would say we are “A community of service dedicated students”.

The core values of Key Club are inclusiveness, caring, leadership, and character building. Our motto is “Caring – Our Way of Life”. As Key Club members we are built to serve and care for our community and world. As we build the world around us, we connect and create our own small community together of others passionate about service.

I would use those words to describe our club because we’ve truly banked on our community that is ever-growing as more members come into Key Club or join one of our Kiwanis Family’s. The definition of community is a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals. We all share the common attitude of happiness, the same interest in service and the goal to better our surroundings.

I would describe us as dedicated because key club members go above and beyond in everything they do. As the years go on, Key Club is only improving and students are now more than ever eager to volunteer in their community.
