Contests, Awards and Scholarships

Key Clubs across Georgia are serving their homes, schools and communities through incredible service projects, raising money for worthy charities and developing strong, passionate and caring leaders.

Key Club International and the Georgia District have developed contests, awards and scholarships to award Key Clubs, individual members and advisors that truly demonstrate excellence through service.

​

Information on this page is available to guide clubs through applying for all contests and scholarships that are available. Links will take you to a new window with clarification and details for individual and club awards.

Key Club International Awards

The following awards are created by Key Club International to award outstanding Key Clubs. In order to compete on the International level, clubs must first compete on the District level. The following award applications must be presented and properly submitted online by February 5, 2025.

The following award is given to Key Clubs that exhibit excellence across all facets of Key Club International, including community service, participation in District and International events, fundraising and Kiwanis-family relations. Clubs are encouraged to use the award criteria to plan out a successful Key Club year. All Clubs should submit the report.

Annual Achievement Report - Completed reports must be submitted by February 5, 2025.

​

The following awards are given to Key Clubs that successfully complete and highlight an outstanding service project:

​

Single Service Award-  A qualifying single service project shall be defined as a club service project planned, organized and produced by the Key Club that occurs on a single day, occurs on consecutive days or recurs on different days. Projects acceptable for this award may include both hands- on service projects and fundraising efforts. A recurring project must be one project that is repeated for the purpose of achieving the same service goal. The form is due by February 5, 2025.

Major Emphasis Award-  The Major Emphasis Award is given to the Key Club that has produced, through its unselfish efforts, the best Major Emphasis Project of the year. Any project completed on a local scale according to the theme of “Children: Their Future, Our Focus” shall be considered a Major Emphasis project. The form is due by February 5, 2025.

​Signature Project Award-  Key Club will recognize clubs for recurring service projects that make a positive impact on communities. The top project in each club size category will be recognized at the annual Key Club International convention. Signature projects are service projects that a club conducts at least annually — and for which it has become known in its community and on campus.  A project must occur annually for the past three to five years. (No penalty for Covid years of 2019-2020).  Due date determined by International.

Clubs that have recently started a new project that will recur, or conducted a one-time project, should consider entering the “Single Service” award above.

Key Club International Contests

The following contests are created to award talented, inspiring and creative Key Club members of the Georgia District. The forms for these awards/contests must be submitted by the dates listed on the form. All members participating must officially register with their state conference. Only winners of these contests may go on to represent the Georgia District in the corresponding Key Club International Contests. 

​

Non-Digital Poster Contest - Form must be submitted on or before SLC registration on March 7, 2025. Poster will be submitted at the registration desk. 

​
Digital Poster Contest - Form and link must be submitted on or before SLC registration on March 7, 2025. A printed copy of the poster should be brought to the registration desk. 

​
Year in Review- Traditional Scrapbook Contest - Form must be submitted on or before SLC registration on March 7, 2025. The physical scrapbook will be turned in at registration. â€‹

Year in Review- Digital Scrapbook Contest- Form and link must be submitted by SLC registration on March 7, 2025. 
​
Oratorical Contest - Please fill out the form by March 7th.

As we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Key Club International as an organization, we honor the legacy of servant leadership that has positively impacted countless people. Reflect on your personal experiences as a Key Club member and how they have contributed to this century-long impact. How has your involvement shaped your growth, and what do you envision for the future of
Key Club as it continues to empower the next generation of high school students?​

Talent Contest- Form must be submitted along with any links to music by February 21, 2025.

​

Club Video Contest- Form must be submitted along with link to the video by SLC registration on March 7, 2025.

The following awards are given to individual Key Club members in the Georgia District that have exemplified everything that Key Club stands for. Nominations for this award can be made by a Key Club member, Faculty Advisor, Kiwanian or school official:

District Contests


The following contests are created to award talented, inspiring and creative Key Club members of the Georgia District.  All members participating must officially register with the convention. 

​

Club T-shirt Contest- Form must be submitted on or before SLC registration on March 7, 2025. The club should bring one size medium or large sample shirt to be judged to the SLC Registration desk. 
​
Essay Contest- Form and essay must be submitted by February 28, 2025. Three winning entries will be selected for first, second, and third place, along with publication in the Keyosk. 
​

District Scholarships

The following scholarship application is for scholarships that will be awarded to senior Key Club members in the Georgia District.  One $1000 scholarship will be awarded at the 2025 Service & Leadership Conference (SLC). All scholarship applications must be submitted online by February 5, 2025.
